The Dingli Art Museum in China presents an exhibition of paintings and sculptures
of artist Cristobal Gabarron to commemorate its second anniversary

The opening, today, of the unshown work of artist Gabarrón, named “Girl that couldn’t reach the moon”, in the Dingli Art Museum, in Fujian province of China, has been the main event organized by the Museum for the celebration of its second anniversary.
The exhibition can be visited until February 27, 2016. In addition to the 160 art pieces created by the artist in 2010 of “Girl that couldn’t reach the moon”, there are three large oil on canvas of 340 x 130 cm. of the series Liof (Liof 4, 5 y 6), and the sculpture group “The Mysteries of Columbus”, exhibited in the outdoors of the Museum.
To celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the Museum, in the city of Chonwgu, Cristobal Gabarron has created a sculpture of white marble, named Metamorphosis. This art piece is becoming part of the permanent collection of this new museum of contemporary sculpture, which brought together the avant-garde sculptors of Southeast China.
The Spanish Ambassador in China, Mr. Manuel Valencia, the Counsellor for Cultural Affairs in the Embassy, Ms.Gloria Minguez, the Director of Today art Museum of Beijing, Mr. Alex Gao (where currently, and until the December 20th, Gabarron exhibits his art work) were presented the commemorative act, along with several art universities deans and the Mayor of the city where the Museum is located.
Previous to the Dingli´s Museum exhibition, Gabarron met local and national artists to discuss the contribution of this sculpture to public areas. The Chinese participants and the exhibition curator, have both highlighted the important contribution of the Gabarron´s sculpture in making art accessible to the general public.
The Spanish Ambassador in China has underlined the contribution made by the Spanish artists of the XX Century: Picasso, Miró y Dalí to the international scene, and cited Gabarron as their successor.
The president and founder of Dingli Museum explained that he chose Gabarron to be the first international artist to exhibit in his Museum, for he is the most prominent current International artist.
