The Foundation Casa Pintada-Museo Cristobal Gabarron opens the exhibition ‘Automatismo’ by David Murcia next Thursday April 24 at 8pm. It is a personal analysis about the artist entailment with his context and his imagination in the unconscious creative processes, The exhibition could be seen until may 25.
‘Automatismo’ plants us the possibility of creating a collage of images that reference us to David Murcia’s creative process. Through the migrations that he creates in his studio, in search of references, he builds mental images that overlap in his paintings. They are cut outs, sketches, catalog images, photos that overlap to create new relationships and contradictions. As he declares, “The analysis of my work has to be planted as mental states and not as artistic objects. They are relationships that have to do with my desire to know how subjectivity is created and how it perceives the world”.
