Casa Pintada Foundation (Painted House Foundation) - Cristobal Gabarron Museum of Mula presents on Wednesday, July 22 at 8:00 pm the exhibition "30 years giving trouble"" by Juan Alvarez and Jorge G.
What is presented here is a small sample of what we have been able to generate over the years. We could say that when we started we didn't imagine how far we could get, but that would be false: from the beginning we felt that we could do it, that we would be able to publish in the best headers of the country, that our work would be understood and appreciated. It is that state of consciousness that one has in youth, that urge to take on the world, that getting carried away by passion, which is, after all, what moves everything. We do not know exactly where we have come, but we do know that we continue with the same enthusiasm creating stories, illustrating, designing, meddling sometimes, or caressing the paper with poetic strokes other times. The blank page is not only a challenge that we accept every day with ease but it also puts us to the limit without knowing that we like that. Our brain loves working, studying, imagining, and plotting.
It is a beautiful struggle whose outcome we do not know what will be, but we do know that it will be a very sincere and true end, which is what we have always pursued.
In this career, not only have we published in our country, but some journals, beyond the Pyrenees, have dared to accept our work. It is true that almost all journals closed, but we think that it has not been due to our fault. The advantage we have now is that as there are no journals left, we cannot close any.
Otherwise, we are ready to celebrate 30 more years "giving trouble". Hope the "trouble" will not happen to anyone.
