José Antonio Torregar takes part in the series of la Fundación Casa Pintada
“The workshop with… Torregar”
After Nono García’s participation last month, on Wednesday, October 30 “In the workshop with… Torregar”, was celebrated with the popular artist, Ceutí.
La Fundación Casa Pintada carried out this new edition of series of talks called “In the workshop with…” regarding contemporary artistic creation. The series, held monthly, hope to bring to the public the creative process of artists, at times of intimate nature, where a reflection, a reading, or the simple vision of a certain place or landscape, motivates a new visual creation.
Torregar had collaborated on different occasions with la FCP, presenting between the months of April and July of 2011 in “La Bodega” of the house, where an installation was made named“In Ictu Oculi”, a thoughtful project about death as transit and returning to the origin of life, with about fifty skulls, made from polyester resin and salt.
The series of lectures named “In the workshop with…” takes place on Wednesdays of the last week of each month, in the events room of la Fundación Casa Pintada in Mula, supported by various local and regional artists, among which will participate in the elections of the emerging art grants of la Fundación Casa Pintada.
The main reason for why la FCP holds this new activity is to create a new route to bring closer contemporary arts, the possibility of direct contact with new creators and their points of reference, influence and inspiration. At the same time, will address the technical aspects and the execution that are characteristic of each one of the participating artists.
