(1981, Canal, Valencia) has a degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts of San Carlos and currently is a candidate of the Official Master's Degree in Artistic Production at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. His work of aesthetic production and research are related to the concepts of memory, the dynamics of power and vigilance, and the representation of space. In his works the drawing appears as the basis of all his work, is a thinking tool, a necessary daily practice, obtaining results that invite to think and generate other realities that in most cases borrow the language and graphic systems of architecture, elements that appear perverted to question some of the most usual spaces of representation of the contemporary individual.

Slaughterhouse Madrid (2014). In recent years his work has been the subject of many mentions and awards.
Good contemporary art is characterized by the fact that, on the one hand, you know the traditions of art and analyze its results, and on the other, these results are transmitted to today's practice and current perspective. That is precisely what Guillem Juan does, his work is based on research processes of the concepts of memory and the representation of space. The exhibition Architectures and juxtaposed spaces collects a selection of works from 2013 to 2017, with common issues, space, architecture and the city, the built and deconstructed space, imaginary places that give rise to a large structure and matrix that is the leitmotiv of his work.
It develops the relationship that is established between the space with utopian architectures and surveillance, spaces dreamed and created in the thought of Guillem that bring artistic results. They are architectural representations of spaces with disparate concepts and ideas, with no apparent relationship, that give rise to unexpected poetics, generate synergies between representations that give new meanings, are broken images and juxtaposed in different planes, is the construction of a new place that did not exist otherwise, are architectures without apparent connection, each with its own semantics and unite with each other generating a new semantics.
The drawing is one of the keys developed in his works that helps to create an architecture and a scenographic vision of the space. Guillem demonstrates his mastery in both panoramic views and small details, with great mastery of technique, allows him to be precise in showing a detail and play with light and perspectives when the goal is to offer a recreation of the "non-places" and counter-spaces. " In this way, the set of his work that is revealed as spaces of uncertainty and representation of the grammar of power, is a resistance to established spaces, central axes of work around memory, the dynamics of power and representation of the space in history that bring into play a sense of open and managable space, where imagined and real spaces, present chimerical, past and future are coming, and are connected in a constant process of construction and deconstruction. The work fused as a definition of spaces, gives rise to a reformulation of reality with its searches, providing a structure, giving meaning to the plans, with mutant spaces that are related to the recurrent.
