New York, August 2012. The Gabarron Foundation in New York is pleased to announce The September Concert 2012 at The Gabarron Foundation. Please join us at the Carriage House Center for the Arts on Tuesday, September 11th at 7:00PM for a special concert featuring Pablo Peláez. He will be performing a selection of his piano compositions. The Gabarron Foundation supports The September Concert Foundation’s efforts to “fill the skies with music and hopes for peace!”

The Gabarron Foundation is proud to present Pablo Peláez in the September Concert. Since its start in 2002, the September Concert Foundation has held free concerts annually to commemorate 9/11 and foster global peace through music and its powerful universality. This New York-based public charity has grown from its grassroots beginnings into an international organization, last year holding events in Africa, Western and Eastern Europe, Japan, and multiple locations in the U.S. It incorporates a highly diverse array of musicians, ranging in age, race, and genre, playing music in an equally varied array of venues, such as parks, galleries, and cafes. The September Concert remembers 9/11, not with aggression and hate, but with a celebration of peace and humanity.

The Gabarron Foundation has joined with The September Concert to create an event that encourages cultural exchange and understanding. Pablo Peláez, noted composer and musician, presents a selection of works from his four albums, played on the piano. Born in Madrid in 1962, Peláez pursued his musical education at the High Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid. Since then, he has met enormous success. He has worked with the Hemi-Sync® system to produce a compilation of his piano compositions; the system uses patented binaural-beat technology, combining music, pink sound, and the sounds of ocean waves to access focused, meditative, and alert states of consciousness. He has also worked closely to further the human rights movement for the disabled by directing Spes: A Hymn to Hope, a chorus, orchestra and soloist and later presenting it at the IV Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability. As a statement of his support, he gave the copyright of Spes to the Spanish Committee of Representatives of Persons with Disability. Peláez has composed multiple movie soundtracks, transcribed and preserved popular folk songs of the Province of Guadalajara, and performed world-wide, proving himself to be a highly accomplished musician. Consistently throughout his musical career, he has actively engaged in the global community and promotes human diversity via the arts; he has chosen to do so again by playing a free concert for the September Concert Foundation. For the concert, he will be playing a selection of piano compositions from his four (solo) albums.
