It is a center to which people of any age have access, with different interests, who are treated in their individuality, as "unique and unrepeatable beings", with different abilities, thoughts, feelings, behaviors and preferences and who are considered as non-passive subjects that participate in a revolutionary, educational and didactic method focused on the creative experience, through artistic practice, either from knowledge from a very updated point of view of the traditional or from the hand of the latest technologies that modern times bring.
The mission of the Museo Cristóbal Gabarrón is to enhance the value of culture in the region through temporary exhibitions, showing the diversity of artists. As an educational center it holds workshops and seminars for children and adults. The permanent collection shows the art of Cristóbal Gabarrón during his more than 50 years as a painter and sculptor.
In 2023 The Queen Sofia Children's Art Museum will make 50 years of collecting and promoting Children's Art. The Collection has over 60,000 pieces of children drawings from all over the World, featuring many themes as each years contest. We partner with different organizations like the United Nations or the Olympic Committee to rise awareness of different important values for our kids.

The Gabarron Foundation, concerned about the risks of global drift, where technological progress is ahead of humanism, wants to contribute to the understanding of the challenges and current problems of our society and the search for solutions. It will do so through the celebration of this first symposium, which will be held annually until 2045, around this time, as a meeting of global and shared reflection.
